It's Just Therapy is the site for personal growth and awareness. The site is purely about matching a therapist-seeker with a therapist or coach. By filling in a subject, complaint or type of therapy, you can immediately see which practitioner is in his or her area, including extensive reviews. It's Just Therapy's intake consultants are ready to guide them both personally and online for people who can't figure it out or who prefer one-on-one advice.

The use of complementary medicine and coaching is becoming increasingly popular. For example, it appears that more and more Dutch people take out additional insurance for alternative medicine. Finding the right therapy in the wide range of medicine and therapy forms already proves difficult. But how do they then find a mindfulness coach, naturopathic therapist, psychotherapist, homeopath who also suits them well? The latter is essential, according to research by the VU: finding the right professional and especially the click with the therapist/coach has a major influence on the result (de Haan, 2014).

Find your coach, hundreds of therapies

With hundreds of therapy and coaching forms and tens of thousands of therapists, it is a jungle. There is little or no guidance. For example, 80% of GPs do not refer to a complementary (psycho) therapist. ‘People are now arranging it via via or are going to try something out after doing an online search. That is of course not ideal when it comes to your personal development or issues that you encounter in your daily life. Our goal is to take the guesswork out and match people to the right therapist that's best for them. Of course, we always encourage our client to consult with any regular practitioner. Quality is of paramount importance, we have personal contact with all our therapists', says founder Saskia Beugel.

Who and what is It's Just Therapy?

The company was founded by registered mindfulness trainer (VMBN), body-oriented therapist and yoga teacher Saskia Beugel (formerly marketing manager VNU, Sanoma & founder Rishis) and life coach Wouter van de Ridder (former brand strategist at FHV BBDO, among others). More and more often they were asked questions such as 'do you remember a good relationship therapist, do you know a burnout coach or someone who does family constellations?' It's Just Therapy arose on the basis of this need. The team has been further expanded with Ragnhild Keizer Meijer and David Marques (ICT) and J. Imming (finance) and we now have 200 therapists connected to our network. More information
